Laconia, NH – The Belknap Mill invites the public to kick off the 2025 First Fridays season on Friday, May 2 with an evening filled with live music, vibrant art, and free museum access, all set in the heart of downtown Laconia at Rotary Park and the historic Belknap Mill Museum.
The event runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is free and open to the public.
Art Exhibit Opening:
The Belknap Mill’s Riverside Gallery will feature the works of local artist Ignacio Cisneros, a local painter and sculptor whose work bridges the worlds of abstraction and realism. His powerful use of oil on canvas, sculpture, heavy paper, and acrylics invites viewers to explore the connection between art, culture, and consciousness.
Live Music at 6 PM – Martin & Kelly at the Bandstand:
This rising country-pop duo has captivated audiences from New England to Nashville with rich harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and standout performances. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show in Rotary Park.
Free Museum Admission:
Step inside the Belknap Mill Museum and discover the story of the nation’s oldest unaltered brick textile mill, while enjoying engaging exhibits and local history.
“First Fridays are all about celebrating art, music, and community in a way that’s fun and accessible to everyone,” said Katherine Switala, Vice Chair of the Belknap Mill Board of Directors. “It’s a perfect way to gather with friends and family and support local creatives.”
