The Town of Ashland is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a number of events:
Saturday July 21st, a train departs Ashland Station for the Civil War Costume Ball at the Common Man Inn; The Grand March starts at 5pm with a buffet meal 5:30-6:30 and dancing from 6:30-8:30. Train departs the Plyouth Inn at 9pm.
Sunday July 22nd: 1st cemetery walk at Green Grove, 6pm. Rain date is Monday;
Tuesday July 24th: 2nd cemetery walk at Green Grve, 6pm. Rain Date Thursday the 26th;
Wednesday July 25th: Street dance on Pleasant Street. Inside Ashland School Gym if it rains, 6-9pm;
Friday July 27th: Alumni Day at the Ashland Gym, Noon-7pm;
Saturday July 28th: Parade at 2pm, fire station to the Ballpark with vendors and entertainers after the parade. The 150th celebration at The Ballpark at 6pm followed by fireworks at dusk. (rain date is Sunday for fireworks.)
Sunday July 29th: Whitten Woods Walk and the Boat Parade from the covered bridge, to Holderness and back, 2pm.
