Join Justin Preisendorfer, US Forest Service, for an engaging discussion on the history of skiing in the White Mountains National Forest. From its early beginnings to today’s bustling slopes, learn how the Forest Service partners with permit holders to provide year-round recreation opportunities. Did you know the WMNF sees nearly 1,000,000 skier visits annually across 4 Nordic and 4 Alpine permitted ski areas?
Justin brings a wealth of experience to the conversation. Currently the Eastern Region Winter Sports Team Leader, he previously worked as a Snow Ranger at the Mt. Washington Avalanche Center and served on the recreation staff for the White Mountain National Forest. His stories and insights offer a unique perspective on the past, present, and future of skiing in this iconic region.
